dvb ll coolj Dr. V’s Health Beats: Jingling Or Jiggling, Baby? Which One Are You?

Dr. V is back with more tips for your health and fitness. This week, the focus is on exercises to get your core right and why it’s important. Read below.

In 1990, LL Cool J introduced us to jinglin with the hit track “Jingling Baby.” I know you know it.This morning, you may have been doing a bit of cardio and noticed some, well, jiggling. Hopefully nothing on you jiggled enough to smack you in the face and knock you out. While some might say it’s nothing to worry about, if that jigglin’ is your belly then it is a problem. Why?

Because it is that abdominal girth that puts us at risk for heart disease, diabetes, and all the associated problems. That’s what I am working on reducing my risk of. In general, women have body parts that, because of their size and composition, may be prone to “jiggling” – real talk. What’s not really supposed to jiggle on any of us is our mid-section, our core.

A strong core helps with posture, reduces back pain, and makes you better able to maintain good form during your workouts. Overall, working on your core strength should be a major part of your exercise plan. The beautiful thing about core workouts is that they can be done anytime and do not all require getting on the floor or putting on special clothing. (…If that took you somewhere lewd, stop it!)

There are tons of core exercise examples online from the very simple to far more complex. So do a little Googlin’ to find out what you can do to work on the jigglin’, go ‘head baby.
