After undergoing vocal cord surgery last year, it was doubtful that singer Adele, would recover in time for the 54th Grammy Awards, but today, it was officially confirmed that she will be hitting the stage to perform.

Along with being nominated for 6 Grammys, all coming from her multi-platinum and critically acclaimed album 21, the performance will be Adele’s first live showing since her surgery.

On the performance, Adele said:

“I’m immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year’s GRAMMY Awards. It’s an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all.”

Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, and Taylor Swift are just a few of the other artists scheduled to perform.

The 54th Grammy Awards will be hosted by LL Cool J and air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12, at 8PM ET on CBS.
