common luv poster First Look: Common Stars In LUV, A Sundance Film Festival Selection

With numerous movies under his belt and Hell On Wheels being picked up for a second season, Common is taking his acting career to new heights. Last year he announced that a film he helped produce, called LUV, would be premiering at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, and here is a first look at the project.

The movie stars Michael Rainey Jr., Dennis Haysbert, Danny Glover and Charles S. Dutton and the plot is centered on:

An orphaned 11-year-old boy is forced to face the unpleasant truth about his beloved uncle during one harrowing day in the streets of Baltimore.

In the emotional sneak peek below, Vincent (Common) reveals to his nephew Woody (Rainey Jr.) that all they have is each other.

LUV was directed by Sheldon Candis and co-written by Justin Wilson. It will make its debut on January 23 at the festival and will be shown a total of 5 times before the annual event comes to a close.
