shaq celtics sign Sports: Shaquille ONeal Announces Retirement From NBA

After spending 19 years playing in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal has announced his retirement. Shaq took to his Twitter earlier today to share the news with his followers through a video he posted.

“We did it. Nineteen years, baby. I want to thank you very much. That’s why I’m telling you first, I’m about to retire. Love you. Talk to you soon.”

Shaq was drafted as the first overall pick in the 1992 draft to the Orlando Magic. He spent 4 seasons there before moving on to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won 3 NBA championships and 4 MVP awards (3 of which were for the finals). He has also played for the Miami Heat (where he collected another championship ring), the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics. Diesel definitely put in work.
