While performing at a concert in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend, someone entered rappers Jean Grae and Talib Kweli‘s dressing room, and stole a laptop and cell phone from Kweli. The culprit was caught on the venue’s security cameras, allowing for him to be identified as Amir Bashir and contacted. Talib, Jean Grae, the venue’s employees, DJ Jazzy Joyce, and a host of others put out Twitter messages with Bashir’s photo in an effort to find him and persuade him to turn the laptop and phone in. He initially refused to return the items, but once he was contacted by Vinnie of Naughty by Nature, who was half way around the world in New Jersey and knows him personally, Bashir dropped the items off and ran.
