Yesterday, Jay Z filed a lawsuit against Boston Red Sox front man David Ortiz over his use of the club name 40/40. Apparently, Ortiz has called a club in the Dominican Republic Forty/Forty and has registered a web site of the same name (fortyforty.net), despite the fact that Jay Z and business partner Juan Perez already manage the 40/40 clubs in New York (established in 2003), Las Vegas, and Atlantic City. The lawsuit claims that Ortiz is knowingly trying to profit off of the popularity of the club name. Hopefully, they can work this situation out.
